2010-2011 APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION Welcome to the MiraCosta College Tuition-Free Noncredit Online Application A message from the campus: Welcome to the MiraCosta College Noncredit Online Application site.  We hope you'll find our online application to be a convenient resource, and we thank you for choosing MiraCosta College. Please be aware that regulations require that an online application may only be submitted by the student.  At the point of submission you will be affirming that the application data belongs only to you.  Submitting an application for another person is not allowed. YOUR STUDENT ID NUMBER WILL NOT BE MAILED TO YOU.  AFTER YOUR APPLICATION IS PROCESSED YOU MUST RETRIEVE YOUR OWN STUDENT ID NUMBER THROUGH OUR SURF REGISTRATION SYSTEM OR IN PERSON. We are currently accepting applications for Summer 2013.  The last date to submit an application for summer is June 28.  We will begin to accept applications for Fall 2013 on July 1.  Applications take 3-4 business days to process.  After processing, applicants will receive an information packet in the mail giving more information on the enrollment process. Enrollment for Fall 2013 classes will begin on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. In order to enroll in fall classes online beginning July 31, 2013  submit your online application for processing by Friday, July 26.  Applications submitted after July 26 may not be processed until July 31, 2013 and will not be eligible to enroll online until Thursday, August 1, 2013. Once your application is processed you will neeed to retrieve your SURF ID and Password by going to the SURF website at http://surf.miracosta.edu.  You will be asked a series of questions which will allow you to obtain your SURF ID and set up a password.  If you did not submit your social security number, we will assign and mail a substitute number that will be needed to obtain your SURF ID NUMBER online - OR - you may come to the Community Education office and by showing a picture identification, you may obtain your SURF ID NUMBER. Classes fill quickly.  It is important to submit your application as soon as possible if you wish to enroll online. Some applicants may need to provide additional materials to complete the application process.  These applicants will be contacted by mail or email to provide the necessary information.  If you have questions, contact the Community Education Office at 760.795.8710. Complete this online application. After you are finished, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column of the application and follow the directions. Print the APPLICATION SIGNATURE/CONFIRMATION PAGE for your records. NO FEES are charged for submitting a tuition-free noncredit application. After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal. Once you have completed the application, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column to submit the application.
