CAMPUS SUMMARY
Antelope Valley College has helped thousands of people reach their educational, career and personal goals since 1929. The college is noted for small class sizes and personal attention from faculty members and staff.

The campus has been likened to a park in Southern California's high desert, situated between the Angeles National Forest and Tehachapi Mountains about a one-hour drive northeast of Los Angeles. Scores of mature trees and plush lawns on the 125-acre campus provide an inviting place for students to relax.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college offering 62 associate degree programs, as well as numerous certificate programs. The college has a large computer graphics program and was the first in the United States to offer computerized life drawing courses. Among the popular vocational programs are automotive technology, registered nursing and a federally certified airframe and power plant technician program that prepares people for careers in the local aerospace industry. An Honors Program provides students with special opportunities as they prepare for transfer to universities.

Men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams have a proud tradition, both on and off the field. AVC has more student scholar athletes than any community college in California.
