CAMPUS SUMMARY
Riverside Community College serves a population of more than 350,000 residents in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. It was established in 1916 in response to a general petition by electors and is the eighth oldest junior college in California. In April 1991, two satellite campuses in Moreno Valley and in Norco joined the main campus in Riverside. Within the next 5 years, total enrollment is expected to exceed 30,000.
The three RCC campuses are aesthetically pleasing locations providing a relaxed and comfortable environment in which to learn. From the Romanesque arches and pillars of the original city Campus to the angled modern lines of the Moreno Valley and Norco campuses, the grounds and facilities are a merging of beauty, and state-of-the-art technology.
Riverside Community College is an accessible, comprehensive 2-year liberal arts and science college committed to providing an affordable post-secondary education, including student services and community services, to a diverse student body. Our vision is to be a leader among community colleges, highly regarded for our commitment to students; respected in excellence in teaching; and recognized as responsive to the communities we serve.
