CAMPUS SUMMARY
Sierra College is located in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, 100 miles east of San Francisco. There are many golf courses, river systems and lakes within a 30-mile radius of the campus. In just one hour by car, you can be in the beautiful Lake Tahoe region that offers miles of trails and lakes for skiing, hiking, horseback riding and boating.

The College was founded in 1914 and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Our 300-acre main campus is located in Rocklin just minutes from Sacramento, the California state capitol. Other facilities include our 115-acre Nevada County Campus in Grass Valley, a campus center in North Tahoe/Truckee, training facilities at the Twelve Bridges development in Lincoln and a satellite center in Roseville. Current enrollment is approximately 18,000 students.

Our emphasis is on student learning and high quality teaching, not research or publication. Sierra College has small student to teacher ratios – about 25 students per instructor in most classes. Smaller classes mean more individual instruction and attention both in and outside the classroom. Individual counseling and tutoring services are also available at no cost.

Our courses focus on the real life application of current issues and technologies, and are taught by instructors with masters degrees in their fields. Many also currently work in the private sector and are experts in their field. Many of our graduates transfer on to top-quality public and private institutions for their final two years.
