CAMPUS SUMMARY
In 2001 Scholl College merged with Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. Scholl will move into a new, state-of-the-art building on the beautiful, 90-acre Finch campus located in North Chicago in the summer of 2002. Finch is located close to some of the most attractive residential areas in the Chicago metropolitan area. Free campus parking is available to students.

At Scholl College you will pursue a four-year Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree within a health sciences university setting where you will be part of a healthcare team consisting of DPM, MD, PA, PT, MS and PhD students.

After post-graduate residency training you will become a podiatric medical physician licensed to make independent professional judgements, to prescribe medication, and to administer medical, surgical and orthopedic treatment of the foot and ankle.

Scholl College is recognized for its exceptional clinical education. Scholl provides a well-rounded medical curriculum that exposes you to emerging technologies and prepares you to serve in the mainstream of the medical care delivery system. Our curriculum mirrors the allopathic medical school model with introduction to clinical sciences beginning in the second year.

Our primary teaching affiliation with the Cook County Bureau of Health Services puts Scholl students in multiple rotations - including Emergency Room Medicine, Infectous Diseases, Internal Medicine, and Surgery - at the nationally renowned Cook County Hospital (highlighted in the TV series "ER") and other leading Chicago hositals and clinics.

You will get hands-on training in our Chicago Teaching Clinic, the Clinic for the Uninsured, and the Foot & Ankle Clinics of America. Our acclaimed Footcare for the Homeless program provides you with additional, unique clinical experiences.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
THE SCHOLL EDGE

COMMITMENT: Scholl College's medical school model gets you into clinical training faster. Clinical experiences begin in the second year and all academic coursework ends early in the third year, thereby giving you more hands-on training.

CLINICAL ROTATIONS: Scholl College makes certain you experience your clinical education in leading teaching hospitals. You'll do multiple rotations in the nationally renowned Cook County Hospital as well as other major teaching hospitals in the Chicago area.

RESIDENCY PLACEMENT: Scholl stands alone in its commitment to residency genesis and funding. This gives you a headstart on residency placement. In 2001, for example, all graduating students had residency placement in January.

SUCCESS: Scholl students benefit from the largest and oldest scholarship program in podiatric medical education: half a million dollars each year. And the Scholl graduate has an excellent record in acquiring and paying back government loans. Our alumni default rate is the lowest of all colleges of podiatric medicine - less than 1%. Proof again of the strong earning power of the Scholl graduate.

LEADERSHIP: With nearly one-third of the nation's podiatric physicians as alumni, Scholl College is undeniably a major force in the health care community. Scholl grads are leaders. Six of the ten most recent presidents of the American Podiatric Medical Association were alumni of Scholl College.
