Shimer College does not require ACT or SAT scores unless you are applying for Early Entrance. We put the most emphasis on the writing and interview portions of our application process. Interviews are conducted when all other application items are complete.

UNDERGRADUATE NOTIFICATION FOR FALL TERM

Notification of admission:

on a rolling basis, Students are notified of Shimer's decision within approximately one week of application completion, starting September 15.

Acceptance of admission:

Most Shimer students notify Shimer of their intent to enroll by May 1. Because of Shimer's rolling admission policy, some students may apply late and get back to Shimer later. Because of limited housing and financial aid, we strongly recommend sending enrollment deposits by May 1.
