CAMPUS SUMMARY
Founded in 1867 as one of New York's first normal schools for teacher education, SUNY College at Brockport is a four-year public comprehensive college that offers a distinctive education combining the liberal arts and professional preparation. The College offers baccalaureate degrees in 39 majors and master's degree programs in 26 disciplines. As stated in its Mission Statement, SUNY Brockport's highest priority is student success. This is evidenced both in its 135-year tradition of providing education of the highest quality as well as by its unique "Extraordinary" Scholarship program, which attracts "the best and the brightest" students to campus. The spacious, well-tended, 435 acre campus lies in the charming Village of Brockport along the historic Erie Canal, yet is only minutes from the vibrant city of Rochester, an All-American City in western Monroe County, which offers an internationally acclaimed orchestra, several impressive museums, a range of theater venues, and professional baseball and soccer. Nearby is Lake Ontario, and a short drive away are the famous Finger Lakes.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Among the College's 39 undergraduate majors, is the only computational science baccalaureate program in the country and the largest international education program in SUNY. A highly selective traditional Honors Program is available to incoming freshmen and transfers, giving them the option of an Ivy League education at a public university price. Unique to Brockport is its Delta College, a learning community that employs a collaborative learning model for a "distinctive education with leadership training advantages". All freshmen enjoy the benefits of a semester-long orientation to college through Brockport's highly successful Academic Planning Seminar, which also helps them begin career planning.
