CAMPUS SUMMARY
Located on 200 acres just south of the Akron-Canton Regional Airport, the Kent State University Stark Campus is the largest of Kent State’s regional campuses and has been meeting the educational needs of its community since 1946. Kent State Stark serves 10,000 students each year, comprised of 5,300 enrolled in academic coursework (fall, spring and summer semesters) and 4,700 enrolled in non-credit professional courses offered through the Office of Corporate and Community Services. In addition, 200 high school students take advantage of the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program.

Kent State Stark has six major buildings: Main Hall, Learning Resource Center, Campus Center, Fine Arts, Physical Education Facility and the Professional Education and Conference Center. The campus also has a protected wetland pond, walking trail and athletic fields.

Ninety percent of Kent State Stark’s full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field and graduate and teaching assistants are not employed to teach in the classroom. The campus has more than 30 student life organizations ranging from academic organizations to social clubs and several academic success services are available. Campus relationships with numerous community, cultural and business organizations bring a wide range of programs and services to the area. The campus boasts the Professional Education and Conference Center as northeast Ohio’s most technologically advanced meeting, training and events facility. Along with a variety of cultural, social and student activities, the campus offers corporate and community services and small business development expertise.


UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Kent State Stark offers two master degrees, eleven baccalaureate degrees and three associate degrees. Students can also begin any of Kent State’s 282 programs and majors.
