CAMPUS SUMMARY
For nearly 90 years, Northcentral Technical College has provided relevant preparation for people from all over North Central Wisconsin and beyond. Begun in 1912 in a small two-story building and called the Wausau Vocational School, the college grew rapidly in response to an evolving technology that triggered the need for expanded services.

The Main Campus-Wausau is supported by regional campuses in Antigo, Medford, Phillips, Wittenberg, and Spencer, where students can complete a number of career programs and take classes to help fulfill requirements of programs offered at Wausau. The college has some 2,300 full-time equivalent students, though more than 16,000 people take at least one class annually.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Today, the NTC district, one of 16 districts in Wisconsin, covers all or portions of 10 counties. In the heart of the district is NTC's Main Campus in Wausau. Built in 1969, this modern campus is home to some unique programs, including nationally known Laser Technician, Educational Interpreter Technician, and Visually Impaired and Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs.
