| CAMPUS SUMMARY |
 |
Northeastern is located 125 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado and two hours away from major ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains. It is the largest residential two-year college in Colorado. Eight instructional buildings, a large library, five residence halls, cafeteria, student center and a 62,000 square foot athletic event/wellness center on campus give this 66 acre campus the same personal feel you will find at a small four year campus! Located on the High Plains of Colorado near Nebraska, Wyoming, and Kansas borders--yet in close proximity to pro-athletics and big-city action in Denver, Fort Collins and Greeley--this school is considered the state's premier two-year college. Two major lakes are located close-in and numerous rural recreation opportunities abound! More than 53 programs of study are offered in both transfer and career/technical programs. Many students attend Northeastern and then transfer on to universities. We are one of the largest feeder schools to Colorado State University (Fort Collins), University of Northern Colorado (Greeley), Metro State College (Denver) plus many out-of-state colleges. Northeastern draws students from nearly every one of Colorado's 63 counties each year, more than 20 states per year and an average of 10 foreign countries per year. We are the only two-year college in Colorado to offer students an Honors Program, complete with special housing for honors students. |
