CAMPUS SUMMARY
Northwest Christian College was founded in 1895 in Eugene, Oregon. Today the mission of the college is "to serve Christ, the church, and the community, locally and globally, by providing excellent opportunities for higher education in Biblical studies, arts and sciences, and selected professions, in an environment that fosters Christian faith, self-understanding, and responsible citizenship." The campus is set on two city blocks and is immediately adjacent to the University of Oregon. The Pacific Ocean is approximately a 90-minute drive to the West, and the Cascade Mountains are 60 minutes to the East, providing students with a host of outdoor activities from which to choose. NCC students can choose from these and other local activities such as PAC 10 sports and top name music concerts to supplement the campus activities available.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Consistently the highest ranking feature of the College is its faculty and the way they relate to and mentor students. Caring faculty take time to relate personally to students, offering much for their students outside as well as inside the classroom. Being located next to the University of Oregon gives our students the bustle of a major university. Hence, students have the advantages of a small, Christian college along with the energy of a large university.
