| CAMPUS SUMMARY |
 |
Established by the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Albany, in 1958, Maria College is a fully accredited Catholic, Associate Degree (and Certificate) granting institution.
The college’s intimate campus in a quiet section of Albany’s New Scotland Avenue gives evidence of an academic atmosphere that embraces both the timeless and the contemporary; a commitment to the humanities taught in an environment of modern classrooms, science and health laboratories, a pre-school for teacher training, a working library of more than 34,000 volumes, media studios, a massive Learning Resource Center, sophisticated and word processing centers.
The mission of Maria College is to educate for service, service to the Greater Capital Region, the communities in which its graduates live and work, and to the nation beyond. |

| UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS |
 |
Maria College offers Associate Degrees in Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Management, Accounting, Computer Science, Paralegal, Early Childhood Education, and Liberal Arts as well as Certificate Programs in Gerontology, Legal Assistant, Bereavement Studies and Information Processing.
In addition to its Day Division Maria has an active Evening Division as well as a Weekend College where students can earn degrees in two- and three-year frames by attending college every other weekend.
Low student:faculty ratio affords students continual professor accessibility and modest tuition makes college affordable for those enrolling in terminal two-year programs and also for those Maria graduates who plan to transfer into four-year programs. |
