CAMPUS SUMMARY
Founded in 1897, Piedmont is an independent liberal arts college with two campuses located in northeast Georgia. The 100-acre Demorest campus in Habersham County includes residence halls and offers some 36 undergraduate majors. The Athens campus, located near the downtown area, offers a select number of career-oriented undergraduate programs. Both campuses offer graduate programs in business and education, including M.B.A. and Ed.S. programs. Piedmont is affiliated with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches and the United Church of Christ. The college's mission is to educate students to become successful and responsible citizens through rigorous academic instruction in the liberal arts and in professional disciplines. We do that by serving students in a highly personal academic environment that emphasizes small classes and one-on-one instruction from professors whose first priority is teaching.
