UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Few universities provide RIT's variety of career-oriented studies. Our seven colleges offer outstanding programs in business, art and design, engineering, science, photography, computer science, and other areas. Our programs combine excellent teaching, a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, modern classroom facilities, and work experience gained through the university's cooperative education program (co-op). More than 2,600 co-op students each year gain paid work experience in more than 1,300 firms coast to coast. RIT is also home to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, the world's first and largest technological college for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
