CAMPUS SUMMARY
Molloy College is an independent, comprehensive college located on a 25-acre campus in Rockville Centre, Long Island, just forty minutes from the heart of New York City. Molloy has grown steadily since its foundation by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, Amityville. In 1955 the sisters of St. Dominic welcomed their first class of 44 freshmen to Molloy College for Women. In 1982 Molloy college became a co-educational institution and today enrollment is over 2000 students. Committed to the Dominican ideals of truth, academic excellence, and openness to diverse work-views, the college provides a value-centered educational experience that enhances intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and social development. Molloy College promotes campus diversity by welcoming men and women of different ages, races, religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds. Dedicated to excellence, faculty encourage students to search for truth through critical thinking, reflection, and dialogue, and to develop a sense of social responsibility.
