CAMPUS SUMMARY
Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing is a commuter school offering educational facilities that complement the strengths of the faculty and curriculum. Located in northwestern Allegheny County, the School of Nursing is only minutes from downtown Pittsburgh with easy access from I-79, route 65 and route 60. The school features comfortable classrooms, that are both open and bright, a skills lab and science lab, both well-equipped, and a nursing library and computer lab that round out the learning resources available on-site for students.

As a member of Heritage Valley Health System, the Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing provides students with clinical experiences in medical-surgical, critical care, perioperative, obstetrical and psychiatric nursing at both of the Health System’s hospitals, Sewickley Valley Hospital and The Medical Center, Beaver. In addition, pediatric clinical experiences are provided at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, psychiatric clinical experiences are provided at Mayview Hospital, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, and Sewickley Valley Hospital’s psychiatric unit, and geriatric and long-term care experiences are offered by Valley Care Masonic Center near Sewickley. Various other hospitals and community agencies are also utilized to provide other clinical and observational experiences.
