CAMPUS SUMMARY
Svc was founded in Fremont, California in 1989, as an educational alternative to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start a successful career in drafting, graphics, business, information technology, and medical studies. Continued growth of svc required moving to a larger facility in September 1990, and again in December 1992. In January 1997, svc Fremont opened a new campus in Walnut Creek. In January 1999, svc Fremont opened a new campus in San Jose. To meet the needs of a diverse student population, svc Fremont launched its Cyber Campus to offer courses via distance learning methods in May 2001.

The Campus is located at 41350 Christy Street, in Fremont, near Auto Mall Parkway/Durham Road and west of Highway 880 with easy access from most Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, and San Mateo County locations. svc Fremont provides some courses at a satellite location in a campus setting at 41324 Christy Street.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
SVC is dedicated to provide the highest quality of education and training to prepare our graduates for entry-level careers in their respective fields. SVC keeps alert to industry needs and periodically revises its curriculum.

The objective of SVC is to provide the highest quality professional training for entry-level through advanced employment positions.

* Assist students in developing high-level professional and business communications skills.

* Offer a broad range of practical training to facilitate employment in entry-level positions.

*Provide programs with varying degrees of complexity and intensity, which coordinate students' prior education and skills with current industry needs.

*Motivate students toward on-going personal and professional development, thereby further increasing employment potential and career mobility.

Both theory and practical training are provided. The health care programs include an externship designed to validate competency under the suppression of a professional in the field, in an actual work setting.

Training is designed for any person who has attained a high school diploma or an equivalent. SVC offers programs in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Graphic Arts, a variety of Health Care fields, and Information Technology (IT). The College offers Associate of Applied Science Degrees in the Following occupational areas: Mechanical Design Drafting, Architectural Design Drafting, Computer Graphics, and Network Systems Administration. The College offers an Associate of Science Degree in Pharmacy Technology and Medical Assisting. The College offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design and Visualization.

Upon completion of these programs, students are prepared to pursue entry to mid-level career positions in each field. To enroll in degree programs students must also successfully complete the applicable diploma program.

A graduate must possess specific skills, knowledge, and the requisite work habits and attitudes to obtain a meaningful position. Additionally, training is provided in how to find and keep a job. Our faculty is chosen on the basis of their subject knowledge and direct work experience. The College also seeks to acquaint students with the duties. Responsibilities, and work habits needed to succeed in their chosen field through techniques for conducting a successful job search.
