CAMPUS SUMMARY
The State University of New York, State College of Optometry was established in 1970 to train Doctors of Optometry as well as researchers in the field of Vision Science. As one of the 64 SUNY campuses it provides only a four-year Professional program leading to the Doctor of Optometry degree and a MS and PhD in Vision Science. The campus is located in the heart of Manhattan in a section of the City that has become a mecca for college. Located in one 18-story facility that contains the lecture and laboratory room, library, research space and clinic, the College is known for its outstanding clinical and research resources.
