| CAMPUS SUMMARY |
 |
Founded in 1967, Martin Community College's mission is to provide quality, affordable and accessible educational programs, learning opportunities and support services to the citizens it serves.
The College provides solid post-secondary curriculum programs leading to an Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Science or General Education degree, diploma or certificate of proficiency. Certificates of attendance and diplomas are also offered for continuing education courses.
MCC's picturesque main campus is located in Williamston, N.C. on a 65-acre tract nestled beneath long-leaf pines and surrounded by colorful azaleas in the spring. A satellite campus is operated in nearby Windsor, offering a variety of continuing education and curriculum courses.
Some of the benefits MCC has to offer include low tuition, financial aid and scholarships, free tutoring, hands-on training, and smaller class settings that enhance the educational process.
Nearby Greenville offers students a number of social opportunities, and the college is just a two-hour drive from both the state capital and North Carolina's Outer Banks. |

| UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS |
 |
Martin Community College is the only community college in North Carolina to offer associate's degrees in Equine Technology and Commercial Refrigeration. The College is also one of seven community colleges in the Tar Heel State to offer the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Students from all along the East Coast and beyond have taken advantage of the low tuition and hands-on training associated with MCC's equine program, which has a goal to provide students with the flexibility to work in a wide range of facilities within the horse industry. Graduates are qualified for entry-level through management-level positions, depending on the individual's efforts and aptitudes.
There are approximately 3 1/2 jobs nationally for every graduate of MCC's Commercial Refrigeration program. Combining classroom lecture with hands-on training, the program is designed to prepare technicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment found in commercial settings.
The College's PTA program has been accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association's Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education since 1988. Since its inception, the program has admitted 24 students each year, and admission is competitive. MCC's PTA program has produced three national scholarship award winners. |
